Chapter 2 – The Pool of Tears

The Pool of Tears
It wasn't easy to condense the duet
down to be played by one person, especially since the gryphon had
been hitting the low notes with its tail. Seon-jae tried it, but fled
when he heard guards coming. “I don't see anything,” said the Five of
Hearts, running into @diamond888.
“Look again,” ordered @katchie820,
“Kang the Lizard is sure he heard someone playing.” Seon-jae
ducked into a stall in the men's room. Unfortunately he dropped his
phone and was reaching for it under the door when he came face to
face with a lizard wearing a bow tie.
“Did you deliver this?” it asked,
pointing to its tie.
“No, but I saw a...”
“Did you play the concert grand?”
accusingly.
“Ah...”
As Five and Eight came into the room,
the lizard pushed Seon-jae back into the stall. The fox followed the
guards in, as did a @sogazelle and a @Llamaesque. Five began slamming
the stall doors open. The duchess stalked in, yelling, “Why is it
so slack like this?”
The fox bowed her head, “it's my
fault. The guards thought it was one of the performers.”
The duchess continued her rant until
the guards fell back to let the @queennafre walk in. “Let's
discuss the problem later,” said the @queennafre, grabbing the
duchess by the hair and shoving her head into a toilet. Water spilled
into the room, knocking the guards off their feet as the mock
@turtle1 and a dodo swept by. Seon-jae thought he saw the March Hair
forcing someone's head into another toilet, but he couldn't be sure.
He and the lizard tried to sneak out in the confusion, but were
pulled into the current.
“It's salt!” Seon-jae sputtered.
“Of course it is,” returned the
mock @turtle1, splashing nearby. “This is all the tears you're going to cry in
Episode 14!”
“What!?!”
“You know, after the pretending
party. @comickiwi arranged it with the White Queen.”
“Wrong book,” muttered Seo-jae as
he headed for shore.
